Killed by a chimp in NOPE & the most punchable face on TV. Was Jim McNeile on Lethal Weapon, L Word, S.W.A.T., Physical, Gaslit, Young Sheldon, The Politician, American Crime Story, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, amateur pianist/painter and real time traveler. From Kansas and Arizona. Now an Angeleno. I prefer a rocky coastline with a thick marine layer obscuring the sun and hot coffee or an empty Disneyland and beer. I'm slowly turning my house into Splash Mountain.
Malibu 1960 PCH WebCam - LIVE
Finally got the 1960 webcam up and running at the Albatross Hotel Restaurant in Malibu. Kind of a sketchy place back then but I was able to snag a matchbook and chow down on some clam strips before heading back to 2024.

"Endless Rewind" song created by Ai from a 200 character prompt
Переглядів 41Місяць тому
I did NOT make this song. A robot did. I just put a 200 character prompt in. It didn’t even get my genre right. This kind of sounds like weak Bad Religion. I hate it, but I have to try this stuff out at least once. I will however admit that the title “Endless Rewind” is pretty genius. And dammit, it’s catchy as fck. Maybe I should actually record with real instruments and make it a real boy.
"Wild and Tired" - First time I got drunk (1990)
Переглядів 57Місяць тому
I documented the very first time I got drunk on “stuff” so I could post it here 34 years later. I quit drinking two years ago, so that’s 32 years of poisoning myself and feeling “wild and tired”. But no regrets!
Trying to play Surprise You're Dead by Faith No More in 1990
Переглядів 720Місяць тому
35 years ago I was musically burned out with the state of heavy metal and desperately wanted something new and Faith No More’s The Real Thing blew my bloody mind. Unfortunately I stopped playing guitar soon after this to pursue acting, because apparently I was only able to do one artistic thing at a time. What an idiot.
Cover of "Orson Welles Great Mysteries" Theme by John Barry

I’ve been watching a lot of old short lived and cancelled TV shows of varying quality and a lot of the awesome intros and theme song make promises they can’t keep. I’d never heard of Orson Welles Great Mysteries from my birth year 1973, but this little John Barry theme rocks.

With my limited musical abilities I can't do this piece the justice it deserves. I'm imagining swirling church pizza organ grinder arpeggios, etc. I don’t know why I made this New Years Eve themed but it somehow works. I’ve aways loved this song and wanted to learn it, but couldn’t find any help on how it’s played, so this is my best attempt with my limited abilities and self trained ear. Overs...
Spooky Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart" cover with imagery from the 1981 horror movie Ghost Story
Переглядів 929 місяців тому
I wanted to cover a REALLY scary song for Halloween. Did you know that Toni Braxton was inspired to sing the Diane Warren penned Un-Break My Heart after watching the 1981 horror film Ghost Story? Well...not really, but the lyrics and mood fit so perfectly. And anything is a Halloween song if you add an organ.

Art Event in Hollywood (2003)
Переглядів 3710 місяців тому
I don't remember what the event was or why I attended but there was live painting, aerial silk contortions and a couple bands whom I also don't recognize. Maybe someone else will remember. I think the band I videoed was at least locally popular. I also think the space was adjacent to where the old Florentine Gardens was north of Hollywood where I actually shot a CSI: NY a couple of years later.

Layton, live in Hollywood. I must be getting old, because I can't remember the venue, but it was definitely in Hollywood proper. Maybe Boardners or something close by?

oooo so thats las flores canyon road in the background, and that Duke's place will be on the right.
Thats right. I wonder why the lot has been vacant since the 93 fires?
The audio! Well done mate. Cheers.
Oh the good old days.
There wasn't even as much traffic
Who wouldn't love to go back there now... great job, you magician!
Yes! I read that The Albatross burned down in the 1993 fires. The vacant lot is still there if you check Google Earth. Wild.
Love watching so these old cars going by. This was six years before i was born.
This kind of stuff is my ASMR. Very meditative.

The raw footage of the movie is petty cool and their is stuff that did not make it to the movie in here
Ah, back when Oak Park Mall was a nice place. A safe place. Who would've thought.... And look at how friendly, approachable, good natured and unsuspicious people were to each other.
Life pre internet, pre grunge, pre collapse of the Soviet Union...
7:17 protesting rock as glamorizing satanic behavior. FFWD to present day - if they could only see what hiphop glamorizes 😄
This might mess up the space time continuem and require a Delorean.
Why do you think the world is such chaos right now? Totally my fault. Apologies:(
This is not a webcam. The first webcam was the The Trojan Room coffee pot created in 1991 so people would know if coffee was ready in the office via thier desktop computers by Quentin Stafford-Frasier and Paul Jardetzky, it was migrated to the web in 1993, becoming the world's first webcam.
Next you're going to tell me Back To the Future wasn't a true story.
@@AndrewPatrickRalstonI actually did tell you that. I just told you that in the future that you are just now catching up to.
GREAT SCOTT!
I think you should add in the description that this wasn't webcam footage 😂 what is it from? A movie?
The fantasy that it's a webcam is the whole point. In reality it's probably B roll for stock footage to be bought by whatever tv show or movie needed a street scene establishing shot at the time.
Satan smiled at me. I saw him in person.
That brings back old memories
Keep posting these old clips and the KU stuff. Been watching your stuff for years now

I’ve always been curious to know what the choir was singing in the background of the music
Great question. I'd love to know too. Must be some Latin experts out there?
That aged exceedingly well
Newhart was eight seasons, so that means we're all going to wake up this November and it'll be 2016 with Obama.

No way people actually believe this. Still cool though.
It's lunacy if they do.
NYC was safe, clean, and civilized. How society has regressed over the past 60 years. 😪😪😪
I remember another version of this intro with different music tho.
You DO realize that there WERE no "webcams" in the 60's, and no internet. Not at all amazing ..they DID have movie cameras!!!
You're wrong man. This is PROOF!
It’s just hard to believe there was a webcam
Wtf . 1:54 Prince william aged 30 years and went back in time aswell? 😆
Somebody should do a Surf (Or "Horror Surf") cover of this. Of course it'd be a faster tempo but I can hear it.
I can hear it. Too bad Dick Dale isn't alive to record it like his amazing space surf theme for the old Space Mountain. Then Disneyland could put it in the Indiana Jones ride. ua-cam.com/video/Yq5YGRBOWyc/v-deo.htmlsi=h2yGXF1LJNcrRciu
@@AndrewPatrickRalston I've never heard that before. (I actually haven't ridden Space Mountain.) Reminds me of 321 Penguins a bit. (LOL)
I think it was for the 1996 version and didn't last long (maybe 2003?) but it was a fun song to hear blasted from the speakers. I hate the new Space Mountain theme song. Pretty generic.
now *THIS* is a 1980s opening.
Just recently watched this show It’s great Shame there was only 1 season
9:56 Man, I've had Jacob's Ladder by Huey Lewis and the News in my head for a few months now, and low and behold, it shows up for a few seconds on a random trip down Kansas City memory lane.

Why is it only 1 minut long? Such a shame.
I made this back when Instagram had a minute long maximum.
@@AndrewPatrickRalston, is it possible for You to upload the intire song? I would really appreciate it.

@@AndrewPatrickRalston, It sounds different and wrong to me. Too slow. Maybe I'm wrong.
I don't know where I got that version that I matched up to the Ozzy video, but it must have been somewhere on youtube. Sorry.
That mall was gorgeous around the holidays with the ice skating rink. The curves and the glass reflecting everything. The pattern in the tile floor. Running around it as a kid was awesome. Tell your parents I'm running over to such and such store and then run straight for Hot Topic. Malls were so much fun because everything was in one place. Now you can just mail order. I get the change but it is a lose when it comes to community activities. You could shop for anything. Meet your family and friends. Watch a movie. Eat lunch. Go to the gym. There was even a skate park here for a time. More than one movie theater. A public library to study with friends instead of school or at home. There's even a rollercoaster and mini golf course that out lived them all. Although it's been years since I've been in that part of town. Graduated from Thunderbird in the late 90's and had the nickname of Beavis of all things 😉😎
This is GOLD!!! ☺️
Changed so much..lived in Kansas City for most of my life..hung out a lot in Overland Park..left in 2012..came to visit in 2023 for the first time..went to Rockhurst High School
I went back in 2017 after 7 years away and couldn't get my bearings. I had used a lot of empty land as markers and there was so much new development. It also didn't help that places like Metcalf Mall were completely demolished. If you haven't been to the Johnson County Museum, check it out. So surreal.
How depressing
Oh man all I ever imagine is what it was like to be a teen in the 80s especially in your home town 😢
